Hi this is
Aplosa7,
Welcome to my
Stable....
But, first let me tell you a little about myself...I am 26 years
old and I currently reside in Illinois. I have a great love for the Equine
and as you are about to see...I love what I do. I have dedicated the rest
of my life to the Health and Welfare to Equine's everywhere. I spend most
of my time to looking for horses to rehab. I started this about 3 years ago
and I have been addicted ever since. Have you ever seen the glow in a small
child's eyes when they get their first pony? Well, this is what I devote
my time to doing. I find sick and near death animals and I rehab them. I
talk to people about the importance of Equine Welfare and how important proper
nutrition is. The love for the Equine grows stronger everyday. If we could
just make everyone see thru a Horses' eyes for one day...they would truly
understand. I hope you enjoy my page..now on with your
tour....ENJOY!!!
This is Spike, my appaloosa and my first rehab I ever did. He was
7 when I got him and in poor condition. He had the bad habit of bucking and
had been passed around from home to home. He had long feet and and he lacked
in proper nutrition. You could count all of his ribs and see his hips and
shoulders. Even though this rehab wasn't a severe case it still took me about
a year to do.
This is the second horse that I rehabed. His name is Dr. Jekyll
& Mr. Hyde. When I bought him they told me that he was 15 years old but
I found out he was between 25-30. But that didn't matter to me. When I found
him he was in very poor condidtion. His coat was very dull. His teeth were
so bad he could not eat, his feet were so long they were curling up. You
could see every bone in his body and he stood in a manure filled stall that
appeared to be about a year or more's worth. I brought him home and started
the long road to his rehab. I spent hundreds of dollars on grain, hay, vitamins
and minerals, vet care and farrier bills. I spent long hours on exercise
and massage therapy. In the end...he was whole again. However, we moved to
a new farm 10 months after I got him and the people who lived on the farm
fed him all kinds of things when I wasn't around. Both of my horses suffered
from colic. Unfortunately...Jekyll didn't make it. I have made a special
dedication to him in a very special place on the internet. I ask that you
go and visit this place and pay tribute to the horses that have gone before
us. Or, that maybe you go and visit to make amends with a special horse that
you've lost.

This is Rythmn N Blues my 20 month old colt. In this picture he
is 6 months old. I bought him from a paint breeder. It was nice to finally
have one from the start that was healthy. I will be starting him this fall
and hope to have him in the show ring by spring of 2000.
This is Challenger my coming 9 year old TB gelding. He was purchased
from a gentleman who bought him from the racetrack. The horse was on his
way to the killer when I intercepted him. He too needed proper nutrition
and alot of TLC to get him together. I have worked very closely with Challenger
on his abilities. I have ridden him hunt, western, and on the trail. Challenger
prides himself on giving 110% to the rider. His rehab is now completed and
he is offered for sale. If you have any questions on him please feel free
to e-mail me.
This is Skip a Bold Spot my coming 5 year old paint gelding. I bought
him from some people that I used to board my horses with. They bought him
as a yearling and threw him out with horses that beat him up for food. I
bought him this spring as a 4 year old. The shape this poor horse was in
was unbelievable. He was was so lathargic from lack of food that we had to
push and pull to get him on the trailer to take him home. He couldn't even
lift his head. He was still a stallion and he didn't even know it. I started
down the road to his rehab. He also had a split in his front left foot and
a place where the hoof was blown out from an abbcess. Eight weeks after I
bought this sorry horse... he was a brand new animal. Everyone couldn't believe
it. This horse had been abused for 3 years and in a short amount of time..he
was ok again. I will never give out my rehab secrets but I am always there
to answer any questions or to lend a hand. You can see for yourself...
This gentleman is the newest addition to the farm...Poco Goliath.
He is and 18 year old Red Dun gelding that looks like a Palomino. I bought
this horse from a very nice woman in Indiana who needed a more challenging
horse. He was very well cared for and very much loved. Goliath has been used
for lessons and 4-H. He has been shown in Hunter/Jumper, competed in cross
country, ridden western and on trails. And he has also been shown in ameratur
dressage. This horse is an all around babysitter horse and is an absolute
pleasure to be around. Goliath is a very happy, healthy horse who will live
out his days with me....
And last but not least....this special little guy has a rehab story
all his own. This 8 year old burro was rescued by The Dept. of Land Management.
He was adopted out to a family about a year and a half ago that had agreed
to take good care of him. It was fun to them at first..then became a burden.
I found him about 6 months ago. His feet were very long and he was very afraid
of everyone. His hips and ribs were sticking out and he was in serious need
for proper care and nutrition. So I started to care for him and tried everyday
to get close to him. That was about 5 months ago now. Today he is fat and
sassy like the rest of my herd. We have been slowly taking care of his feet
and now he will approach us in the pasture. This little burro wouldn't have
stood a chance if he would have remained in the care of someone less
knowledgeable. All he needs is time and patience to win his heart forever...
